全新的 Intel® Pentium® 處理器系列,不僅在架構及製程上的有著重大的改變。為了讓通路夥伴及消費者能夠更好的辨認出全新的 Intel® Pentium® 處理器系列,Intel 也很貼心的重新設計了處理器盒裝外觀。從下圖中可明顯的看出新舊架構 Intel® Pentium® 處理器系列的處理器盒裝外觀有著明顯的大不同。相信通路夥伴及消費者一眼就能認出全新架構的 Intel® Pentium® 處理器系列。


新舊架構大不同
雖然處理器盒裝外觀已重新設計,但 Intel® Pentium® 處理器系列的徽章並未改變。但值得注意的是,雖然新舊架構的處理器徽章相同,但其製程、架構、功能、技術可是大不相同。以舊架構的 Intel® Pentium® E6XXX 處理器系列來說,其採用45 奈米製程,無內建顯示晶片,其顯示晶片內嵌於主機板上。而全新架構的 Intel® Pentium® 處理器系列,採用了 32 奈米製程,且處理器內建顯示核心,並可支援 DDR3-1333 的記憶體。不僅如此,其內建記憶體控制器,並支援 Intel® 智慧型快取技術。此外,在功耗方面亦必以往來得低,能夠降低平台的整體功耗。


效能大躍進
全新架構的 Intel® Pentium® 處理器系列在效能上到底有多大的進步呢?我們以Intel® Pentium® G840 以及 Intel® Pentium® E6700 進行測試比較。我們將攝像機內的105分鐘影片進行轉檔,再將影片燒錄至光碟並分享至網路上,看 看這兩顆處理器完成任務各需耗時多久。經過測試, Intel® Pentium® G840 完成任務需要 124 分鐘,但在 Intel® Pentium® G840 完成任務的同時,Intel® Pentium® E6700 僅完成了工作的 57% 。由此可見,全新架構的 Intel® Pentium® 處理器系列在效能上是有著相當大的進步。

綜合以上的測試,我們可以得知全新架構的 Intel® Pentium® 處理器系列,因為其製程的進步,以及先進技術的支援,使得其效能得以大躍進。在功耗方面亦有效的降低電源消耗,節省能源。另外,其內建 Intel® HD Graphics,不管是玩 Facebook 遊戲或輕度線上游戲,都游刃有餘。想要觀賞高畫質影片、或是影片轉檔等多媒體作業,不僅能在短時間內快速完成工作,更能讓使用者享有驚豔的視覺體驗。在價格方面,Intel® Pentium® 處理器系列的售價也相當親民。搭載 Intel® H61 晶片組,便能享有低價且兼具高效能的平台。以桌上型電腦來說,根據目前市價來看,要在新台幣一萬元內組台高效能的Intel® Pentium® 處理器平台,絕對不是問題。而筆電方面,搭載Intel® Pentium® 筆記型處理器的筆記型電腦,其售價亦不高。總而言之,想要擁有平價且高效能的平台,選用全新 Intel® Pentium® 處理器系列是最佳的選擇。

新窮人大雕 Pentium G620

效能實測:內建顯示繪圖效能

Pentium G620內建HD Graphics繪圖核心,它的繪圖核心數量和時脈,都跟高一階的HD Graphics 2000相同,只是差在功能性。所以Pentium G620的繪圖效能跟Core i3-2100一樣好,只因為處理器運算能力較低,實測成績小幅落後Core i3-2100,但兩者都大勝AMD平台。

耗電特性實測

雖然A8-3850升級至32nm製程,不過處理器反而比45nm舊製程的Athlon II X4 645更耗電。但是拜北橋與繪圖全部整合在APU內之賜,系統耗電量並沒有跟著飆高,還是維持AM3舊平台的水準,如果再換成Micro ATX的主機板,相信功耗更能得到進一步的抑制。
